Nocturnal Oranges
02:38
|
|||
Don't tell a soul but I've got love in a bowl that's reserved for just you and I, let's be somewhere in the evening air.
Nocturnal oranges and dusky front porches inform us as we waltz through, "You're beautiful" and I say "So are you."
High
Cold air's aggression reveals expression, it hurts but it's best outside.
It's all so grand, I think I forgot how to stand.
Let's sit a while in the quixotic style of the quarry and railroad.
I can't explain how much I love this train.

Can You Imagine (Allone)
02:56
|
|||
Everybody,
stuck inside the hell designed in their mind.
Everybody,
wants to be right where they aren't.
But in this world of my creation,
I could do without this insolation
and make some space for you and I
to try and see what we can find.
Pack a car and cruise forever
on highways of the mind together.
Can you imagine that?
Everybody wants to be somewhere,
and buys a bunch of shit just to get "there"
but the truth of it is we're always here, with
Everybody
and the lonely things we do,
is what connects us to
Everybody
We could have fun where we are!
'Cause where are we going really?
Where are we going really?
Where are we?

The Editor
03:22
|
|||
Did you ever get around to watching that movie?
"The Prodigious Plot of Him and She"
It has some cliches, but that's okay
some people like predictability.
Predictability's a precious resource these days.
I tried to project a narrative of fear,
and you make shadow puppets.
You're the only true obstruction to my constant self-obsession.
She thumbs through my screenplay,
and says that it's okay.
But that it was a little too Gonzo,
so she could edit it and get credited and we could both benefit.
We find ourselves in a new place,
adrift on the raft of our wavelength.
I can't project a fuzzy image here,
'cause when I'm with you you keep my lens clear.
I tried to project a narrative of fear,
and you're in front of me making shadow puppets.
It's pretty funny.

Floating in Space
03:05
|
|||
Whatever's below us now
was once high above our heads.
There's no point of reference how
will I find a way to get
some soil between my toes?
And the weight of the world, so sweet.
I can't recollect the sense of standing on my two feet.
Not even a single line
or borders to guide me.
There's nothing to separate the fun from the fury.
We're floating in space,
we're floating in space,
we're floating in space,
we're floating.
Let's see how deep it goes.
Let's be the first ones.
There's no going back now.
We might as well drift some more.
Maybe we'll hit a wall
with a posted note stuck to it
that says "you should get a life."
and push off too home from there.
Or maybe we'll die alone,
and no one back home will know
there's two little skeletons
still stuck in the flow.
We're floating in space,
we're floating in space,
we're floating space,
we're floating in space.

Apathetic River Blues
03:05
|
|||
I've been holding onto the bed,
I think it's time to get out of my head.
I tried to hold on,
but if the river flows that way
why would I remain?
Carry me there,
I hope it's somewhere!
I release and fly through the blues,
on my apathetic river cruise.
What wonders await?
And if I die by waterfall,
I'll say "Thank you! That is all!"
Carry me there,
I hope it's somewhere!
What a dream,
Idly floating down a gentle stream,
feels better than just festering.
Fighting back the current like that was improving my art, but
Everything,
once you give up every little thing,
In exchange you get your liberty,
that propels you through the endless, crazy stream of fear and love.
I've been holding onto the bed,
I think it's time to get out of my head.
I tried to hold on,
but if the river flows that way
why would I remain?
Carry me there,
I hope it's somewhere!
I release and fly through the blues,
on my apathetic river cruise.
What wonders await?
And if the current takes me under,
I'll hold my breath and wonder
when I'll float back to the surface.

Hippocrene
03:08
|
|||
Everything in energy
tuned to certain frequencies
building one reality we can agree on.
But outside our shared mirage,
we're one piece in the collage
unaware of where we fit inside the montage.
We're a source of light,
burning out of spite.
Yes we are.
Yes we are.
Soaking in the hippocrene
in my predictive machine
loving every evergreen that I encounter.
Welcome to the other side,
population you and I
let's see where this crazy ride can take us.
We're a source of light,
burning out of spite.
Yes we are, yes we are.
We're one source of light,
burning out of spite.
Yes we are. Yes. We. Are.

We're So Big, Man
04:19
|
|||
Life is in motion,
a sentient ocean
made more alive
the deeper we dive.
My pod relaxes
and tours the Z-axis
I can't believe
how big it all seems.
Worlds we create out of hate, out of fear
won't make room for the feeling that
we're so big, man.
Let's revel in the
immensity of what
we're passing through
and then while we do
Let's let whatever we're
passing through
revel in us.
We're slowly rising up all through our lives,
it's insane we forget that sometimes,
we're confined to our bodies for life,
but in case you forget again
we're so big, man.
